Wildlife artist who loves painting big cats, wildlife and accepts pet portrait commissions.

Martin first discovered his passion for creating art when he retired in 2020 having purchased many pieces of art during his life.

He is an accomplished self-taught artist originally painting landscapes in watercolour but migrated to soft pastel and pastel pencils due to his love of wildlife and wanted to paint pieces for his own home in detail.
​
He became successful quickly with friends and family all wanting pieces of art and others requesting paintings of their pets, it didn’t take long before he was painting dogs, cats and horses as well as his passion for big cats, leopards, lions, cheetahs and so on.
​
He started some social media late in 2024 and soon gained quite a following with several sales in the UK. In 2025 The Trident Gallery, Lyme Regis, Dorset was impressed by his work and offered to exhibit his work for sale.

About Martin
Born in Bath in 1958 and raised in the village of Sutton Benger near Chippenham, Wiltshire, Martin’s creative journey began later in life, following a dynamic and successful career. In the 1980s, he made his mark as a rally driver, winning the Welsh Tarmac and National series, while also nurturing a lifelong passion for golf.
